Hi,

rsync16.de.gentoo.org (193.16.112.87, deela.cc.fh-luh.de) is moving to 193.174.118.87, deela.skim.hs-owl.de. Same maschine, same os, same scripts, only ip/dns change on our site. 
we want to switch over on friday, 04/25/08 at 13.oo MET. Can you give me access to rsync1 on friday and change the dns?

i have moved the change to Fr. May 2nd, could it be possible to get a positive response till thursday.

Hi Martin,

I cannot guarantee I'll be around on Friday as I'm away on work commitments, however I can give both IPs access to rsync1 as a way to ease the transition?

Alex,

that would be a solution. Do it. Also you can switch over the dns name anytime around the switchover time. the dns cache will deliver the old ip for some hours, actually the service will be interrupted for a short time without setting the cache time to some minutes. 

Please give access for both ips and switch the dns over anytime near my switchover.

Granted access to rsync1 for both IPs, someone from -infra (fox2mike?) needs to handle the DNS change as I'm not going to be around...

server has moved. sync is ok. please change rsync16.de.gentoo.org to the new IP 193.174.118.87

Updated DNS, please allow up to 24 hours for it to propagate.
