I reported this bug upstream (http://svn.mythtv.org/trac/ticket/5014) but they seem to think it's a gentoo problem. So I'm reporting it here. Mythtv fails to skip forward or backward in recorded files. This has been happening since the 0.21 release fixes. Before switching to branch, it did not have this problem. Are you sure your keybindings are stock? Have you changed them at all?

What I had noticed is it seemed like this bug might have been fixed and then in the latest 0.21, the entire ability to view any file in the media library is not working at all. I have recorded many tv shows and I'm now not able to view any of them. This reminds me of when upstream branched to 0.20. It was working under trunk but as soon as they branched, everything started breaking and they never really fixed everything.
Ok bumping to 17087 seems to fix the skip back/forward and selecting pre-recorded programs. Xvmc doesn't work with nvidia set but I guess that should go in a different bug.
