amd64: I'll stabilize it myself for your arch in case nobody does it.

Also tested kino with USE=quicktime and seems to install and work fine:
media-libs/libquicktime-1.0.2 dv gtk

Then I loaded ieee1394, ohci1394 and raw1394, and I did the following test with
my camcorder:

-rewind mini-dv
-play mini-dv
-capture to dv files.
-Tested some video effects
-Save as SMIL 2.0
-Closed program
-Loaded test SMIL 2.0 file
-Export to dv file.

The program works fine. So stabilize please.
