Monotone 0.39 was just released. The latest in portage is currently 0.36.
Updated ebuild is attached, tested/working on a 2007.0 amd64 system.

It is based on (and in fact basically the same as) the 0.36 ebuild, but with
one important change: the filter-flags needed in those versions is no longer
necessary. Those flags were due to Monotone's use of Crypto++
(dev-libs/crypto++) which has bad interactions with some GCC optimizations.
Recent versions of Monotone (including 0.38 and 0.39) use Botan
(dev-libs/botan), which does not have any such (known) problems with GCC. (I
reference the ebuilds but Monotone currently bundles the crypto library in
their tarball, so the Monotone ebuild doesn't have dependencies on either of
those ebuilds).
