Hi

Xfree 4.3 provides more video modes than previous one, and if you run something
fullscreen SDL choose the 60Hz refresh rate. This ebuild contain a patch (by
Stephen Anthony) which make SDL choose the higest avail refresh rate.

"This functionality can be totally disabled by using the environment
variable 'SDL_VIDEO_X11_USE_ALL_MODES' set equal to 1."

More info: http://www.libsdl.org/pipermail/sdl/2003-April/053584.html

P.S. My eyes can rest now...

good job on finding this. just so you know, I have a bug on xfree86.org open
about restoring the behaviour, or at least making it a runtime
option.http://bugs.xfree86.org//cgi-bin/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=148

Thx, for that link

BTW, I just have known that someone will do "use X && epatch ...", ebuild must be perfect ;)
