Description:   Opened: 2007-09-05 17:27 0000
This bug is to track issues causing liferea-1.4.x to be masked.

------- Comment #1 From Daniel Gryniewicz 2007-09-05 17:32:25 0000 -------
Issue #1 with liferea 1.4.1

Space doesn't work correctly; on startup, the Next Unread Item button has
focus, and Space selects the next unread item, rather than scrolling the item
window. If you click into the item window, Space now scrolls the item window,
but does not move to the next unread item at the end of it. This is a major
regression, and enough for me to not use 1.4.1.

------- Comment #2 From Cosimo Cecchi 2007-09-14 00:13:02 0000 -------
Liferea should have webkit backend disabled by default (or a use flag, but we
do not have webkit in portage, so we should disable it). I'm installing 1.4.2
on my laptop where i have also a Webkit installation and it automatically picks
webkit (which for now works far worse than mozilla in liferea) as rendering
engine.

------- Comment #3 From Daniel Gryniewicz 2007-09-14 01:22:27 0000 -------
I know about the webkit backend. webkit is *far* from ready to be a rendering
engine for things like liferea; once it works and is in portage, I'll see about
enabling it.

Okay, I've been playing with liferea 1.4.2, and it appears to work correctly.
I've unmasked it, and am closing this bug.

------- Comment #5 From Daniel Gryniewicz 2007-09-18 16:41:55 0000 -------
I've re-masked liferea 1.4 because of this ussue:

http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1784045&group_id=87005&atid=581684

Sorry about this, I'll test more thoroughly in the future.

This bug should be fixed in 1.4.5
(http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?forum_id=743924).

------- Comment #7 From Daniel Gryniewicz 2007-10-29 17:41:37 0000 -------
Well, I'm unhappy with the fix from upstream (I still lose some amount of read
history), but it seems to work well enough, and it's not going to be really
fixed any time soon. So, unmasked again.
