I propose here an ebuild to put under dev-python/cython, for Cython (http://www.cython.org). Cython is a language that makes writing C extensions for the Python language as easy as Python itself. In fact it his a kind of fork from Pyrex (which is already in Gentoo). So I've taken the current Pyrex ebuild and adapted it to Cython. Reproducible: Always
Created attachment 130092 [details] The ebuild
Created attachment 130093 [details] The ebuild with some correction Added some Cython only doc files.
Created attachment 130811 [details] dev-python/cython-0.9.6.6 Updated to Cython-0.9.6.6. Internal tgz folder is now spelt "Cython-vv" instead of "cython-vv", plus some docs were removed, some other added.
I've modified your ebuild a bit and added to CVS. Thanks for reporting :)
Dear Ali, since this is the first time that I contribute an ebuild to Gentoo, does this means that you will mantain it yourself? I've given a look at your changes: I can tell you for sure that Cython works flawlessly with amd64 architecture (the architecture on which I first adapted the ebuild). Best regards and thanks for accepting the contribution.

I'm the primary maintainer of the package and the package belongs to the python herd. > I've given a look at your changes: I can tell you for sure that Cython works > flawlessly with amd64 architecture (the architecture on which I first adapted > the ebuild). You should file a bug to get it keyworded ;) > Best regards and thanks for accepting the contribution. > Sure :)
