Attached please find an ebuild for a FUSE module that allows users to mount their MTP devices into the local file system. The user can then copy music and video to and from their device, and edit playlists. The module's home page can be found at http://www.adebenham.com/mtpfs -Chet Reproducible: Always
Created attachment 128461 [details] mtpfs-0.6.ebuild
Created attachment 138874 [details] Improved ebuild for version 0.7.
mtpfs depends on media-libs/libid3tag. that fact should be reflect in the ebuilds regards
Could you make a live svn ebuild? The 0.7 version doesn't compile with libmtp-0.3.*, while mtpfs from subverion works. The subversion repo is hosted on googlecode (http://code.google.com/p/mtpfs/source/checkout)
Created attachment 176903 [details] New mtpfs ebuild New ebuild, new version, now supports (and I suppose requires libmtp-0.3.0).
Now added ebuild to my personal overlay, available at: http://github.com/spitfire/spitfire-overlay/tree/master

Okay so I made a folder called mtpfs in /usr/portage/sys-fs and made a file called ftpfs-0.9.ebuild and put the contents of the 0.9 ebuild in it. When I try to emerge mtpfs it says that a Manifest was not found and that it is masked: JORDAN-8FC7A898 mtpfs # emerge -pv =sys-fs/mtpfs-0.9 These are the packages that would be merged, in order: Calculating dependencies / * Manifest not found for '/usr/portage/sys-fs/mtpfs/mtpfs-0.9.ebuild' ... done! !!! All ebuilds that could satisfy "=sys-fs/mtpfs-0.9" have been masked. !!! One of the following masked packages is required to complete your request: - sys-fs/mtpfs-0.9 (masked by: corruption) For more information, see the MASKED PACKAGES section in the emerge man page or refer to the Gentoo Handbook.
I suggest the ebuild from bug #259079

Hello, guys. The Gentoo Team would like to firstly thank you for your ebuild submission. We also apologize for not being able to accommodate you in a timely manner. There are simply too many new packages. Allow me to use this opportunity to introduce you to Gentoo Sunrise. The sunrise overlay[1] is a overlay for Gentoo which we allow trusted users to commit to and all users can have ebuilds reviewed by Gentoo devs for entry into the overlay. So, the sunrise team is suggesting that you look into this and submit your ebuild to the overlay where even *you* can commit to. =) [1] http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/sunrise/ [2] http://overlays.gentoo.org/proj/sunrise/wiki/SunriseFaq
René, if you think ebuild in bug #259079 was better, please, attach it here. Thanks.
