Description:   Opened: 2007-07-05 16:57 0000 
when emerging dev-util/monodevelop-0.14, configure quit with following reason:
checking for update-desktop-database... no
configure: error: You need to install update-desktop-database

i don't know in which package update-desktop-database is, so i cannot resolve
this dependence by hand.
this is mainly a kde-system and i believe that binary belongs to some
gnome-things.

Reproducible: Always

1. emerge =dev-util/monodevelop-0.14
