Some lines in the attachment are a little out of order, due to the way I
created the log. If there is a better way to obtain such a log, let me know.

------- Comment #3 From Seemant Kulleen (RETIRED) 2003-03-28 18:21:21 0000 -------
emerge libgd &>logfile would've put them in the correct order.

------- Comment #4 From FieldySnuts 2003-04-02 16:35:22 0000 -------
Thanks Seemant, updating the attachment.

what does `qpkg -I -v freetype` show ?
has any version of libgd emerged properly before ?

------- Comment #7 From FieldySnuts 2003-04-13 13:35:37 0000 -------
# qpkg -I -v freetype
media-gfx/gimp-freetype-0.2-r2 *
media-libs/freetype-1.3.1-r3 *
media-libs/freetype-2.1.3-r2 *

libgd 1.8.3-r5 is what I have installed now and have since before i ran into this
problem.

I now see 1.8.4 is in portage, I will try that right now.

------- Comment #8 From FieldySnuts 2003-04-13 13:38:09 0000 -------
1.8.4 emerged okay.

------- Comment #9 From Seth Chandler 2003-04-17 17:51:42 0000 -------
this works, 1.8.4 builds fine
