I think it would be great to have an ebuild of iaxmodem in portage. Most of asterisk users could be interested. Reproducible: Always

I've made a couple of changes to the ebuild (dependencies and install) and committed to Gentoo Sunrise - http://gentoo-sunrise.org/cgi-bin/trac.cgi/changeset/3315
A few notes: * IAXmodem exist in Gentoo's VoIP overlay since December 11. * IAXmodem 0.2.X exist in Gentoo's VoIP overlay since March 20. * IAXmodem is a general purpose software modem, so: > IAXmodem should not have Hylafax on RDEPEND. > IAXmodem init.d should not need hylafax * IAXmodem needs (not mandatory) media-libs/audiofile. * IAXmodem works on x86 too. (sunrise ebuild only have ~amd64) * IAXmodem starting approach is to be covered by init (on /etc/inittab) > iax:2345:respawn:/usr/bin/iaxmodem ttyIAX > See README file * The inclusion of IAXmodem on Sunrise made Gentoo VoIP overlay users (who have both overlays on their system) on x86 to downgrade to 0.1.16. * IAXmodem on Gentoo VoIP overlay have better QA and testing. I encourage every one to use the Gentoo VoIP ebuild. Kevin: Can you remove IAXmodem Sunrise ebuild in favour of the Gentoo VoIP one? I've just finished a few test on x86_64 and just added ~amd64 to the ebuild.
