Description:   Opened: 2007-02-16 18:14 0000
After updating to glibc-2.5, openoffice-bin fails to start with this error:
/usr/lib/openoffice/program/soffice.bin: symbol lookup error:
/lib/libnss_db.so.2: undefined symbol: db_create_4002

When I saw that, I said to myself, re-emerge nss-db and got this:
aclocal: macro `AM_PROG_MKDIR_P' required but not defined

I went through several tries to try and get nss-db to rebuild and finally gave
up. Of course, I can't say for sure that rebuilding nss-db would fix
openoffice-bin, but it's all I'm left with. (I re-emerged openoffice-bin for
fun, which didn't changed anything, of course, since it's a binary package.)

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Have nss-db and openoffice-bin installed before glibc-2.5 upgrade
2. Upgrade glibc-2.5
3. Observe that openoffice no longer works
4. Try and rebuild nss-db... Foiled again!

Actual Results:
Openoffice no longer works.

Expected Results:
Openoffice still working.

In summary, the inability to build sys-libs/nss-db on a current system is the
likely cause of my loss of use of openoffice-bin.
It's probable that this affects openoffice as well.
I'm picking major because openoffice is kinda important. ;-)

Not an OO.org bug. Post the actual emerge errors you get when compiling
sys-libs/nss-db, ebuild version, emerge --info and reopen then.

Here is the nss-db build error:

You should update your `aclocal.m4' by running aclocal.
