Description:   Opened: 2007-01-31 17:50 0000
The latest stable release of mailman, according to the project page, is 2.1.9.
However, the gentoo ebuild for net-mail/mailman-2.1.9 is still keyworded as
unstable. Considering that the project released this version as stable on
September 12, 2006, could the gentoo stability be bumped to reflect this?

The current marked stable ebuild is net-mail/mailman-2.1.9_rc1.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge --sync
2. emerge -p net-mail/mailman
3. less /usr/portage/net-mail/mailman/mailman-2.1.9.ebuild
Actual Results:
root # emerge -p net-mail/mailman
[ebuild N ] net-mail/mailman-2.1.9_rc1

contents of /usr/portage/net-mail/mailman/mailman-2.1.9.ebuild include
KEYWORDS="~amd64 ~ppc ~sparc ~x86"

Expected Results:
root # emerge -p net-mail/mailman
[ebuild N ] net-mail/mailman-2.1.9

amd64 done, but: the ebuild installs to /usr/local, you should fix that

Stabilizing 2.1.9 is fine. But there are major issues with -r1. It isn't just a
small change, the default install dirs have changed and the documentation is
weak at best on the nature of the change. This bug was for stabilizing 2.1.9
not 2.1.9-r1.
