I believe this is a different bug. I'm getting it also with a sync today.

------- Comment #3 From Alon Bar-Lev (RETIRED) 2007-01-21 08:45:03 0000 -------
I don't know where this MAX_ERRNO comes from... Can't find it in source or in
my system.
Can you please:
find /usr/include | xargs grep MAX_ERRNO

Thanks!

------- Comment #4 From Dan 2007-01-21 15:39:13 0000 -------
disreputable hydrogen # find /usr/include | xargs grep MAX_ERRNO
/usr/include/asm-x86_64/unistd.h:/* user-visible error numbers are in the range
-1 - -MAX_ERRNO */
/usr/include/asm-x86_64/unistd.h:       if ((unsigned long)(res) >= (unsigned
long)(-MAX_ERRNO)) { \

------- Comment #5 From Alon Bar-Lev (RETIRED) 2007-01-21 15:45:28 0000 -------
Well...
MAX_ERRNO is not defined anywhere... but is used.
So I guess the compiler is right... :)

base-system: any idea?

------- Comment #6 From SpanKY 2007-01-21 18:14:06 0000 -------
sure ... fix userui.h to stop including linux/unistd.h and drop the xgetpid()
macro hack at the end of the file

------- Comment #7 From Alon Bar-Lev (RETIRED) 2007-01-22 05:23:02 0000 -------
(In reply to comment #6)
> sure ... fix userui.h to stop including linux/unistd.h and drop the xgetpid()
> macro hack at the end of the file

Thanks!

But this hack was needed since whatever reason "Work around random glibc bugs
where getpid() caches an invalid pid.", was it solved?

------- Comment #8 From SpanKY 2007-01-22 05:54:22 0000 -------
to be honest, such things shouldnt exist

if there's a bug in glibc, fix glibc, dont hack packages

------- Comment #9 From Alon Bar-Lev (RETIRED) 2007-01-22 08:05:42 0000 -------
OK.
I will contact upstream, thanks.

------- Comment #10 From Alon Bar-Lev (RETIRED) 2007-01-22 09:21:40 0000 -------
I have MAX_ERRNO in kernel 2.6.19.2 include/linux/err.h:#define MAX_ERRNO 4095

I cannot install linux-headers-2.6.19.2-r1 right now...
But it is strange that the same variable does not exist in the last find.

------- Comment #11 From Alon Bar-Lev (RETIRED) 2007-01-22 10:46:10 0000 -------
OK.
Should be solved in suspend2-userui-0.6.4-r2.
Reopen if it does not work.
