nearly a month ago the HAL team released HAL-0.5.8.1.

We know, its in the Gentopia overlay

This version will never ever EVER hit the tree. It's by far the most broken and API/spec changing and Redhat-centric version ever.

P.S. Don't whine about crap being released and it not appearing in the tree instantly. We have our reasons. What's your reason for needing it? If you want it, go use genstef's version in the Gentopia overlay. But be prepared for segfaults of other apps that use it's API and even possible seg faults of HAL.
