Description:   Opened: 2006-10-04 13:07 0000
gtkcdlabel-1.0_pre8.ebuild now has envince in RDEPEND (older versions had ggv).
AFAICS, this is not really a dependency, but gtkcdlabel works fine with "gv" as
viewer. Since I use KDE and don't want two full desktop environments on my HD,
I am careful about installing Gnome components.
I therefore propose to either remove the PS viewer dependency altogether or use
some conditional like "gnome? ( >=app-text/evince-0.5 )", then re-adding ggv as
a fallback.

I have to correct myself: Since I am not familiar with Gnome, I only just
noticed that ggv is obviously the older name of Gnome's PS viewer.
So please substitute "app-text/ggv" with plain "app-text/gv" in my complaint.
Sorry for the confusion.

The dependency is NOT optional, it needs a GS viewer, read Bug 107895. Getting
tired of this. If you are using KDE, why don't you use app-cdr/kcdlabel instead
or ranting that GTK app depends on GTK stuff?
