There's a new version for meld. I just copied the 1.1.3 ebuild and it works for
me on x86. I will test on amd64 shortly.

Just tested it on amd64, and found no problems.

Did you use gettext 0.15? Because with this version of gettext, I get the bug
shown in bug 143120
