Description:   Opened: 2006-07-29 07:46 0000
With APACHE2_OPTS="-D SSL -D SSL_DEFAULT_VHOST -D DEFAULT_VHOST"
apache hangs on start, running one process:

root      1231     1  0 09:17 ?        00:00:00 /usr/sbin/apache2 -D SSL -D
SSL_DEFAULT_VHOST -D DEFAULT_VHOST
If I stop apache with: sudo /etc/init.d/apache2 stop
I get:

* Stopping apache2 ...
httpd (no pid file) not running
and I have to kill the single running process manually.

There doesn't seem to be any relevant messages in the various logs.
This configuration works fine under apache-2.0.58.

Comment out the following line in /etc/apache2/httpd.conf and try again.

LoadModule auth_digest_module            modules/mod_auth_digest.so

------- Comment #2 From Matthew Swank 2006-07-29 10:50:21 0000 -------
Commenting auth-digest works.  This is a work-around I assume?
