I'm unable to emerge ati-drivers. i get the following error:

the actual error is not visible from what you posted, you have to paste a bit more. please also make sure the error message is in english.

works now, after i upgraded a lot of packages, much like a emerge -uDav world.

Fails under x86 with the same error in a fresh install fully updated system.

The problem might be the same as in bug #142095

I think I have had the same error and it is seems to be the same as bug #142095, the whole set of messages will be attached. What I did was build the unstable ones and that worked (at least, it built).
