Tidied ebuild: uses autotools eclass. ldconfig is automatically run by Portage. tar & gzip do not need to be specified.

The RedHat bug for the security hole in 0.2.3 is probably a better place to look if you want to understand what the problem is and how to fix it.

CanoScan LiDE 210 is not supported, correct? Just because there is no genesys-backend supported, as far as I understand. Thanks for feedback, Stefan
