there seem to be some small changes in 2.8.18 affecting firegl_public.c. The
following patch fixes this.

Same problem with ati-drivers-8.27.10, the patch supplied here fixes the
problem.

The patch is still needed for ati-drivers-8.28.8. Also it doesn't break builds
on
pre-2.6.18 kernels.

it's best to create diffs from the base directory (eg.
work-orig/common/lib/modules/fglrx/build_mod/firegl_public.c
work/common/lib/modules/fglrx/build_mod/firegl_public.c rather than just
firegl_public.c).  that way you don't have to keep jumping back and forth
between directories to apply them.

ati-drivers-8.28.8 don't compile with linux-2.6.18 (from kernel.org) 
patch not tested yet...
