Description:   Opened: 2006-06-06 12:35 0000
i'm trying to "emerge media-fonts/encodings" as part of xorg-x11. after
portage has downloaded the encodings-1.0.0.tar.bz2 file, it thinks that the
download has failed and aborts the installation. repeating the command
confirms that the file has been downloaded, but the same error occurs.

the last "emerge sync" i did was june 05, 2006.

output from the console:

# emerge -DuNv xorg-x11
