When metalog-0.8_rc1-r2 starts at boot time, HAL causes kernel oops during it's
startup. Moreover, with HAL disabled, if metalog is still running I can't log
in, as process freezes trying to log data.

The problem seems to be connected with console output to /dev/tty12 (haven't
checked with other terminals). With console output off everything was fine.
