The masked package -r3 works fine for me

Regards Roland

------- Comment #2 From Stefan Briesenick 2006-04-17 10:55:32 0000 -------
oh well, it's not masked but keyworded ~arch (=testing).

but you're right, it's time to stabilize the 0.4.5-r3 and remove the old 0.4.5
ebuild.

------- Comment #3 From Stefan Briesenick 2006-04-17 11:01:00 0000 -------
to arch herds: please stabilize net-dialup/capisuite-0.4.5-r3
no open bugs other than this for a very long time now... ;-)

thanks.

------- Comment #4 From Mark Loeser 2006-04-21 20:37:23 0000 -------
Stefan, could you please handle this for x86 since none of us have the hardware
for this (last I checked)?

------- Comment #5 From Stefan Briesenick 2006-04-22 04:31:36 0000 -------
ok, no problem. I do so. I could also handle amd64 if necessary. But the guy
who added ~ppc initially should stablize it, since I don't have access to ppc.

------- Comment #6 From Stefan Briesenick 2006-04-22 05:00:26 0000 -------
stable on x86.

------- Comment #7 From Mark Loeser 2006-04-22 16:11:41 0000 -------
Thanks

------- Comment #8 From Joe Jezak 2006-05-28 09:06:40 0000 -------
Since ppc doesn't have a stable version at all and I don't think we have any
testers, I'd like to just leave it ~ppc for now. If that's not okay, please
re-add ppc to the bug.

Thanks.

------- Comment #9 From Stefan Briesenick 2006-05-28 13:51:37 0000 -------
ok for ppc. But amd64 is still missing. I wait for it and then I remove the old
version from portage.

------- Comment #10 From Simon Stelling (RETIRED) 2006-06-23 06:20:07 0000 -------
sbriesen: please, go on, we don't have the hardware either

------- Comment #11 From Stefan Briesenick 2006-06-24 04:06:25 0000 -------
@simon: doesn't matter in this case. It only has to compile for you on amd64.
With ~amd64 it works (unfortunately I only have a ~amd64 machine available).

But for amd64, we need to stabilize media-gfx/sfftobmp and media-gfx/jpeg2ps
before. Both are only available for ~amd64. :-/

Hello,

today I get this

ythonscript /usr/lib/capisuite/incoming.py,callIncoming,0x8214980: Error
occured. message was: ApplicationError: syntax error while executing python
script occured in PythonScript::run()

Portage installed the new Python Package

------- Comment #13 From R. May 2006-06-30 11:17:30 0000 -------
Capisuite is V.net-dialup/capisuite-0.4.5-r3

Phyton is V. dev-lang/python-2.4.3-r1

------- Comment #14 From Stefan Briesenick 2006-07-01 02:25:15 0000 -------
> syntax error while executing python script

huh? never seen this before. capisuite may have lots of bugs, but I've never
heard of/seen a syntax error.

Can you please try to recompile both, python and capisuite (in this order)?

thanks!

------- Comment #15 From R. May 2006-07-01 07:48:35 0000 -------
Hello,

I recompiled both python and capisuite before I make Bug Report.

After I installed the older python Package all works fine again.

------- Comment #16 From Stefan Briesenick 2006-07-01 11:36:32 0000 -------
hmmm. strange. Which python version works for you? dev-lang/python-2.4.3 or
dev-lang/python-2.4.2-r2?

either there is an incompability and/or there's a bug within
dev-lang/python-2.4.3-r1. The capisuite ebuild hasn't changed since ages...

------- Comment #17 From Sven Muehlberg 2006-08-08 11:46:33 0000 -------
The last problem from comment #12 persists with the current python package.

I have tested it today with different python versions. The first working
version is dev-lang/python-2.4.2-r2. All newer packages does not work with the
incoming.py script.

------- Comment #18 From Stefan Briesenick 2006-08-08 12:20:22 0000 -------
ok, since dev-lang/python-2.4.2-r2 is the last ebuild from python-2.4.2, I
guess there has something changed in python-2.4.3 then. ;)

can you find out which command fails in incoming.py?

------- Comment #19 From Stefan Briesenick 2006-09-22 06:53:34 0000 -------
fixed in -r4.
