Description Paolo Pedroni 2006-03-23 10:22:43 UTC
In case oolite-bin (see bug #106890) ever enters the portage tree, a 32 bit version of libxml2 will be needed to run the game on amd64.

Bug #130612 would like the emul-linux-x86-libxml2 also.
Comment 2 Luke Bratch 2006-10-07 08:07:09 UTC
32-bit Wine also needs this to be built on AMD64 without using a 32-bit chroot.

You can get around it with USE=-xml but yes, it's an issue that should be fixed.

Not really, any app/game that uses XML inside Wine requires it, so this actually stops Wine from functioning properly.

I guess that with -xml wine is using expat to process xml files and expat is included in emul-...-baselibs.
Comment 6 Benjamin Hodgetts 2006-12-25 17:14:59 UTC
No, with -xml it doesn't support games that use XML (i.e. Civilization 4) states that at the terminal then fails hence why someone needs to make an emul-linux-x86-libxml2 quicksharp. I would if I had any idea what you actually make.

emul-linux-x86-baselibs-10.0 includes libxml2
