In case oolite-bin (see bug #106890) ever enters the portage tree, a 32 bit version of libxml2 will be needed to run the game on amd64.
Bug #130612 would like the emul-linux-x86-libxml2 also.
32-bit Wine also needs this to be built on AMD64 without using a 32-bit chroot.

I guess that with -xml wine is using expat to process xml files and expat is included in emul-...-baselibs.
No, with -xml it doesn't support games that use XML (i.e. Civilization 4) states that at the terminal then fails hence why someone needs to make an emul-linux-x86-libxml2 quicksharp. I would if I had any idea what you actually make.
emul-linux-x86-baselibs-10.0 includes libxml2
