Description:   Opened: 2002-12-17 14:28 0000
iputils and netkit-base both install a ping program, but in
different locations:
netkit-base: -rwsr-xr-x    /bin/ping
iputils:     -rwxr-xr-x    /usr/sbin/ping

Having two different pings does seem a bit odd, and is potentially confusing,
especially when one is by default not installed suid.

It would be nice if there were some way to patch this up. Perhaps have
the iputils ebuild setuid ping (and ping6?), and make /bin/ping a symlink?

Would like to know what people think about this situation, at anyrate ...
