I've been noticing my bootup process stopping ever since I upgrade baselayout
to version 1.12.0_pre12.  After investigating the init scripts that stopped I
noticed that three scripts were doing what seems to be an endless requirement
loop:

`samba' uses `cups' which uses `vmware' which uses `samba'

I can get past these by just hitting CTRL+C but then the service doesn't start.
I rewrote the samba init script but realized that the problem is just in the
`use cupsd' line.

you didnt post `emerge info`, also baselayout 1.12.0_pre14 is out
