Description:   Opened: 2006-01-12 21:54 0000
http://www.go-mono.com/archive/1.1.13/
http://www.go-mono.com/sources/

The following new packages directly updated by 1.1.13
* mono-1.1.13.tar.gz
* libgdiplus-1.1.13.tar.gz
* xsp-1.1.13.tar.gz
* mod_mono-1.1.13.tar.gz
* monodoc-1.1.13.tar.gz

Please note that one of the new features is claimed compatibility with
IronPython, which is nearing 1.0 release. mono-1.1.13 release notes mention
IronPython-0.9.6, but IronPython-1.0_beta1 will see testing for compatibility
shortly after these ebuilds are updated, as well as from other distros.

Most of them bumped except xsp/mod_mono. Adding Ramereth as a CC here to get
him to bump those.

For now, mono-1.1.13.1 is package.masked as there are issues with some packages
such as avahi, which have references to Mono.Posix things *removed* in this
release. Adding the bug dep on those to this one to track that one.

------- Comment #2 From Jeff Kowalczyk 2006-01-14 23:45:10 0000 -------
I had test bumped version in my own overlay; was still testing before posting.
Did you determine that the patches:
mono:
# Fix munging of Unix paths
epatch ${FILESDIR}/${PN}-1.1.5-pathfix.diff
   and
libgdiplus:
epatch ${FILESDIR}/${PN}-1.1.10-libungif-configure-fix.diff

no longer seem necessary? I got all packages building without them.

xsp and mod-mono worked with a simple bump for me, FWIW.

The cairo section of libgdiplus seemed noteworthy. I have cairo-1.02 installed:
checking gif_lib.h usability... yes
checking gif_lib.h presence... yes
checking for gif_lib.h... yes
checking for libpng12... yes

cairo will be compiled with the following surface backends:
  Xlib: yes
  Quartz: no
  XCB: no
  Win32: no
  PostScript: no
  PDF: no
  glitz: no

the following font backends:
  FreeType: yes
  Win32: no
  ATSUI: no

and the following features:
  PNG functions: yes
---
Configuration summary

   * Installation prefix = /usr
   * Codecs supported:

      - TIFF: yes
      - JPEG: yes
      - GIF: yes
      - PNG: yes

      NOTE: if any of the above say 'no' you may install the
            corresponding development packages for them, rerun
            autogen.sh to include them in the build.

Jeff: The pathfix patch needed updating to account for code changes, It's
there, but regenerated against 1.1.13.1. The ungif fix was 1/2 fixed in the new
libgdiplus, so that patch has been reworked/updated against 1.1.13 as well.

Building without them by no means indicates they're no longer needed, as the
bugs they fix may either be runtime, or only kicked off with certain USE flag
combos, etc, etc.

avahi-0.6.4 fixes those removed references right ?

------- Comment #5 From Radek Podgorny 2006-04-04 10:25:05 0000 -------
1.1.14

------- Comment #6 From Luis Medinas (RETIRED) 2006-04-23 08:21:40 0000 -------
Peter i need to request you a bump for 1.1.13.5 for beagle. The new version
fixes a few memory issues and beagle will run much better with this release.
