Changes to Drivers and Hardware Support

*****
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 Update 1 provides support for disk devices that are larger than 2 terabytes (TB). Although there is limited support for this feature in the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 release, Update 1 contains many improvements (both in user space programs and in the kernel). In general, Update 1 is considered a requirement for support of disk devices larger than 2 TB.

Please apply this patch.
I wish more 2TB.
Thank you.

This is really non-trivial, and requires changes in user-space tools as well, not only in kernel. I'm also not sure that we can even properly test such stuff. This should be IMHO discussed in gentoo-dev ML, not in bugzilla.

Please ask Red Hat to contribute their work upstream and then it will be automatically included in Gentoo. Or at least post the patches for us to look at.
