Description Priit Laes (IRC: plaes) 2005-12-13 12:16:24 UTC
I noticed this output during the configuration part:
---SNIP---
configure: Using Unknown package origin as package origin
---SNIP---
Shouldn't we use "Gentoo Linux" here?

---SNIP---
checking for check - version >= 0.9.2... no
*** Could not run check test program, checking why...
*** The test program failed to compile or link. See the file config.log for
*** the exact error that occured.
---SNIP---
Maybe we need dev-libs/check dependancy...

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:

This is the location of the packager... which is only relevant for distributions which actually do packages (and not ebuilds like gentoo).

The check program is only needed for testing purposes (when running make check). It's not needed for normal compilation.

This highlights the problem on FEATURES="test", a similar fix was done in the expat ebuild to handle this.
