Description:   Opened: 2005-12-11 09:17 0000
I don't know if javaws should get installed
with the jre (I don't know much about java),
but it does on Windoze. In any case, the
ebuild should not create a (non-existent)
link for javaws.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge dev-java/blackdown-jre-1.4.2.02
2. ls -al /opt/blackdown-jre-1.4.2.02/bin/javaws
javaws -> ../javaws/javaws (flashing red)
Actual Results:
The directory directory the link
references doesn't even exist
( /opt/blackdown-jre-1.4.2.02/javaws )

Expected Results:
Either install javaws, or not create
that link.

Please post the results of 'emerge info'. Also, try blackdown-jre-1.4.2.02-r1.

I tried both 1.4.2.02 and 1.4.2.02-r1, and neither seem to install that link
for me.

Traveling right now, and in a place with a poor
internet connection and VERY expensive bandwidth.
Will try the -r1 version when I can.

obviously this is still a bug, the app-emulation/emul-linux-x86-java package
(which is very similiar to the real one) hits it too

------- Comment #4 From Josh Nichols (RETIRED) 2006-01-18 16:23:06 0000 -------
Fixed in 1.4.2.03-r1. Thanks for reporting!
