Description:   Opened: 2005-12-02 00:30 0000
This patch addresses a a 32 bit integer overflow in
invalidate_inode_pages2_range and I can confirm that it applies to 2.6.14. I
noticed this while reviewing the current status of Debian's source tree. This
might be a good candidate for the stable queue (and consequently genpatches-base).

The commit hash is as follows (the full URL is in the appropriate field in this
bug):

* [PATCH] 32bit integer overflow in invalidate_inode_pages2()
  h=479ef592f3664dd629417098c8599261c0f689ab

I'll attach the patch also.

mm-invalidate_inode_pages2-overflow.patch

commit 479ef592f3664dd629417098c8599261c0f689ab (this instance taken from
Debian's tree).

------- Comment #2 From Kerin Millar 2005-12-03 06:38:09 0000 -------
For the benefit of interested readers, this is fixed in
gentoo-sources-2.6.14-r4
already (on account of genpatches-base-2.6.14-5).
