Description:   Opened: 2005-10-21 03:10 0000
Hi,

Maybe it's quite ridiculous but I have a problem while launching some files from
konqueror. File whom name begins with left bracket [ are not properly loaded.

I hope I had to post this bug here and not directly on kde bugs report system...

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. configure gvim as default text editor
2. create a file named [test].txt
3. click (or double click) on it in konqueror to "launch" the file
Actual Results:
an other file is loaded in your text editor. (with gvim it loads the directory
where the file is stored).

On video file (with xine-ui), it loads an other video file (whom name may begin
with [ ).

Expected Results:
The correct file should be loaded in gvim.

There are no problem with kde apps (kate vs gvim for example).

I have tested only with xine and gvim.

I use kde 3.4.1 on x86.

workaround :
- rename file
- use konsole to launch the program with the file correctly

Thanks for your attention.

PS : I hope my summary is quite good...
