I'd like to load vmware player in to my Gentoo installation, but it is not yet in Gentoo's package database. Advance thanks on your effort.
Just FYI - VMware Player comes with Workstation v5.5...
it's been released as a stand-alone free-as-a-beer application, see http://www.vmware.com/download/player

Created an attachment (id=71341) [details] app-emulation/vmware-player-1.0.0.16981.ebuild What I am not sure is that it can be downloaded direcly from portage and I don't make the ebuild compatible to have vmware-workstation that is why I don't allow it in dependences. By other hand is quite stupid to have vmplayer and vmware.
