Description Petteri Räty (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-10-11 12:30:14 UTC
So today testing spca5xx I did modprobe ehci-hdc and got full system freeze.
Nothing responded any more. Well I booted and now went straight to console and
tested modprobe ehci-hdc and the same thing happened.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. modprobe ehci-hcd on gentoo-sources-2.6.13-r3
2. I tested with camera removed and it had no effect on the freeze

Expected Results:
It has worked without problems with past kernels. I think I haven't tried
ehci-hcd on any of the 2.6.13 series kernels.

Comment 1 Petteri Räty (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-10-11 12:47:37 UTC
Same thing happened on vanilla-sources-2.6.14-rc3.
Comment 2 Petteri Räty (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-10-11 13:00:36 UTC
I wonder why I always typo the module name as ehci-hdc.

Please file this as an upstream bug at http://bugzilla.kernel.org and post the
new bug URL here.

Reported. Tested on rc4 and the problem is there with that version too.
