When emerging gnome (it's my first time so i'm not so skilled yet...), i have an error when extracting the libbonoboui-2.10.0.tar.bz2 file necessary to complete the libgneui library. I read on some forum that the .tar.gz file works... But i'm still unable to install gnome correctly. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. type emerge gnome on a system where libbonoboui isn't present 2. the program tries, after a few times, to download the package from ftp.gnome.org and it says : unable to truncate the file after downloading. Actual Results: Impossibility to continue the gnome emerge. Expected Results: may be try to download the gz when the bz2 doesn't work ?
Unfortunately, a silly problem was created when the released tarball for libbonoboui-2.10.0 was changed some days ago. Try re-sync'ing your portage tree, deleting the old tarball ("rm /usr/portage/distfiles/libbonoboui-*") and then running "emerge libbonoboui" again. If you're using a gentoo mirror and it is providing the wrong file, let us know so we can handle the issue. Thanks. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 104814 ***
