Description:   Opened: 2005-09-14 05:01 0000 
If the scanner useflag is on, the gimp ebuild pulls in xsane. If the gimp
useflag is on, xsane builds the gimp plugin, but if this is the first install of
gimp, the xsane ebuild will fail to build because the gimp plugin directory can
not be found.

Resolution: USE="-scanner" emerge gimp followed by emerge gimp.

It's the same problem as in bug 105192.
