Description:   Opened: 2005-07-26 16:07 0000
Update of cdrdao from 1.1.9 to 1.2.0 failed mysteriously. I happened to add
some
packages related to MP3 and OGG later. Now, cdrdao-1.2.0 emerges successfully.

MP3 and OGG are mentioned during configuration step in the log of failed
emerging of 1.2.0, but such emerge proceeds nonetheless until an error occurs
during compilation.

Hence, I suspect there is some hidden dependency.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge cdrdao
2.
3.

Actual Results:
copied from the last part of emerge log:

(suspect parts...)
checking for vorbisfile >= 1.0... Package vorbisfile was not found in the
pkg-config search path.
Perhaps you should add the directory containing `vorbisfile.pc'
to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable
No package 'vorbisfile' found
OGG support disabled
checking for mad >= 0.10... Package mad was not found in the pkg-config search
path.
Perhaps you should add the directory containing `mad.pc'
to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable
No package 'mad' found
MP3 support disabled
(end of suspect part)
