Well, these are extra docs for the package in tree - sci-libs/root and as such 
should really belong to the sci herd. Reassigning appropriately. 
 
Just one remark: it probably makes sense to extend the existing ebuild for 
sci-libs/root to make it install these extra docs when USE=doc is supplied..

done in the 5.10.00 version in the overlay: http://gentooscience.org

root-5 in cvs with a USE=doc that installs the user guide. thanks.
