Dan, I have no clue about this one but thought you might :) This was proposed before, but was rejected, mainly on grounds of space - the kdelibs sources are 45MB in size. I'm willing to reconsider it. In fact, I'm starting to lean towards intalling the sources. One question is, into what path. I'll inquire about this. maybe to make that things less annoying for everyone, install the sources only if a USE such as kdelibs-source is present? No, we don't want to create a USE flag that'll be used just by one ebuild. I just asked and we have no plans atm to install package sources in a generic way, so we'll be narrow-minded here and just extract the sources into /usr/src/kdelibs-$ver. |
