also, portaudio dependancy should be optional ...
or just add keywords like 'portaudio jack alsa esound' and corresponding dependancies

forgot to mention that now src_uri is {P}.tar.bz2 instead of {P}.tar.gz

The latest version of mhWaveEdit is 1.4.1 (released 2005-06-08)

New features in version 1.4.1:

  * Automatic samplerate conversion for Jack
  * Jack port auto-connection bugfix
  * Minor bug fixes

The homepage for this project does not seem to exist anymore 
(http://www.mtek.chalmers.se/~hjormagn/mhwaveedit.html --> 404) and the entry 
on freshmeat.net seems to be removed 
(http://freshmeat.net/projects/mhwaveedit/).  
 
Does anyone know what is going on here?

upstream seems very dead, but i managed to gank the source from freebsd's
distfiles server
