emerge log file
there are two causes: FEATURES="sandbox" (causes some not critical errors) USE="python" (critical: tdb module bindings not up to date) USE="-python" FEATURES="-sandbox maketest" emerge -Bav samba: all tests successful christian, what do we do to bring the tdb bindings up to date? already working on it: -- all non-critical failing tests try to modify a tdb database outside the sandbox (and this can be arranged) -- I'm focusing now on python bindings: after some time-consuming code review, it seemed that python bindings call a function that doesn't exist in samba api interface. Where has it gone? simple: the api call got deprecated, and removed (http://samba.sernet.de/irclog/2005/05/20050504-Wed.log: from 5:26 to 5:33) I'm looking for news in upstream svn No updated bindings in svn. Since the locking methods are critical in tdb interface, I'm leaving them to upstream devs. https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2895 it will be fixed in a couple of days seemant: a new version of the patchset (0.3.2) is in distfiles-local. The two new patches included are a little fix in python bindings (no bug is open on this) and some tests exclusion (full write access is required on live filesystem caches). IMHO, this update is not worth an ebuild revision bump, but I wanted to hear your opinion. christian, go ahead and issue a revision bump anyway, since it does fix things. Then that revision bump will be a candidate for stable. 3.0.14a-r2 with patchset 0.3.2 in cvs |
