When trying to build the dev-libs/icu-2.0 I get the following error

Also, ibm has released icu veraion 2.2 and it's available at the website

Hi David.

Thanks for bug report (and suggestion)!

Seemant: I tested the updated ebuild. It seems to build Ok.
I'll wait a few days for David to respond with his testing results and than
close the bug.

Ok, no reaction by original submitter and the new version has been tested to
build Ok. Closing the bug now.
