- cant we use the LINGUAS to download/install the locales in squirrelmail? it is just download and copy ...
- alternative a locales-flag-thingie to download all-locales.tar ...

Proposed patch to 1.4.4 ebuild with USE nls support to install all_locales 

No LINGUAS support for now, what I have is messy, buggy and sports some 20 QA
notices, so i doubt any dev would dare to commit that attempt ! :D

LINGUAS would be download and copy indeed, until you want to fallback to
all_locales if LINGUAS is not set and USE nls is :/

well, yes. In earlier versions, I had many locales installed, including german.
Now there're NO locales installed and that's really odd. It doesn't matter how,
but locales have to be added again!

btw: is it possible to make at least some of the fancy plugin-addons available
via portage?

I want this too. By now we are at version 1.4.5, but there are no locales
installed. They were there in earlier versions, so this is kind of odd.

Any progress here?
I also want this now a long time.
It would be better to install all locales, then no one or?

squirrelmail 1.4.5 with php 5.1+ needs the patch on

Otherwise append to Sent folder does not work.

Would emphasize, that this is an issue which should be fixed quickly. Don't
really understand why it isn't done because it's quite easy, just unpack the
all_locales tarball in your source and install.
