Description Simon Strandman 2005-03-24 13:05:37 UTC
Optimizations for mozilla is currently striped down to -O1 on amd64 but I don't think this is nessesary any more. I compiled my mozilla and firefox with -O2 and -Os and they are perfectly stable. I've used this mozilla for some weeks now and it never crashes. Bug 33767 was opened 2003-11-18 several gcc version ago, and we have 3.4.3 now. Perhaps this could be reconsidered? If you don't agree just close the bug.

Portage 2.0.51.19 (default-linux/amd64/2004.3, gcc-3.4.3, glibc-2.3.4.20050125-r1, 2.6.11-ck2 x86_64)

Ping!

Can anyone have a look at this? I've been compiling firefox and mozilla with -O2
for quite some time now and never had any problems. And binary distros also
compiles with -O2 or -Os on x86_64.

I am addressing this for the 1.5 release!
Comment 3 Simon Strandman 2006-01-01 06:41:03 UTC
I'm closing this bug since it's fixed for firefox 1.5.
