linkchecker-2.4 (current stable) requires python 2.4, but the DEPEND-info requires only python-2.3.3.
So I get this after a regular system update:
# linkchecker
This program requires Python 2.4 or later.
# python -V
Python 2.3.4

Workaround: Put ">=net-analyzer/linkchecker-2.4" in /etc/portage/package.mask.

Ah yeah I'm using python-2.4 on all my boxen so I didn't even notice.  Thanks for the heads up.  >=2.4 is now package.mask'd.
