i got "samba" use, and i tried to "emerge -av gnome-vfs-extras"

[ebuild  N    ] gnome-extra/gnome-vfs-extras-0.99.11  -debug 0 kB


cat /usr/portage/gnome-base/gnome-vfs/gnome-vfs-2.8.3-r1.ebuild contains:

        samba? ( >=net-fs/samba-3
                !gnome-extra/gnome-vfs-extras )

so, i think that user should NOT be allowed to install gnome-vfs-extras.

yes we should protect our users...

the right solution is to ditch the pack as we intended to do in the first place.
