#63236 - x11-misc/lookingglass-bin can be build from source The ebuild needs to be updated to build the packages from source #76802 - lookingglass not added to gdm chooser When I emerge lookingglass-bin, it is not added to the list of window managers in the gdm chooser Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. emerge lookingglass-bin Actual Results: a symlink is created in /etc/X11/Sessions, but no .dekstop files are created, and gdm does not give looking glass as a choice Expected Results: i should see looking glass as a choice in gdm #78973 - Ebuild request for looking glass 0.61 Thursday 20 January has been released Looking Glass 3d 0.61 (lg3d). This is the URL of tar.gz: https://lg3d-core.dev.java.net/files/documents/1834/10751/lg3d-0-6-1.tar.gz this one depends on #65937 since first we have to get 1.5 unmasked no maintainer Wouldn't be better to reopen the bug and add this to mantainer-wanted@gentoo in case anyone is interested? (In reply to comment #6) > Wouldn't be better to reopen the bug and add this to mantainer-wanted@gentoo in > case anyone is interested? > Yeah. What are we exactly tracking here? The ebuild removed 2 years ago? :=) maybe someone could write now one, update to stable 1.0 release ;) and since java is open source maybe lg3d could be on distfiles servers? (In reply to comment #9) > maybe someone could write now one, update to stable 1.0 release ;) and since > java is open source maybe lg3d could be on distfiles servers? > AFAIK, lg3d has been always on distfiles servers, as it was GPL. I too would be curious to see lg3d run on Gentoo now that it has reached a stable 1.0. Feel free to reopen with something like an ebuild for uptodate version; until then, zero reason for this bug to stay open. |
