Small efficient text editor, uses the SLang library.  Has syntax-highlighting
for C, C++, Java, Lisp, Perl, HTML/SGML and mail.

Any chance you can include/apply the current Debian patch?  It contains several
important bugfixes, including a couple of segfaults and some terminal handling
fixes.
