checked latest ~x86 version ; latest version writes smartd.conf.example as smartd.conf, still refers to non-existing smartd.conf.example in init script. fixed in 5.33 |
/etc/init.d/smartd says eerror "You should setup your /etc/smartd.conf file!" eerror "See sample conf: /etc/smartd.conf.example" but does not include /etc/smartd.conf* Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. emerge package 2. start smartd 3. receive bewildering complaint asking you to refer to a missing file Actual Results: couldn't find example config file Expected Results: include file (in x86) or stop referring to it.
